This discipline allows a vampire to extend their senses beyond physical limitations. A vampire with auspex gains a supernatural sense of others' moods, thoughts, and can sometimes appear to be aware of things before they take place.
Aura perception: The character can sense auras surrounding other people. Based on their color and tone, important information about their current state of mind can be revealed. A character with this ability can also see beyond the purely physical and more easily perceive people trying to hide supernaturally.
Cost: None
System: No mental duel required. Player says “Auspex Mood?” to the target who then answers the emotion that is currently strongest in the character (anger, joy, sadness, etc). This can only be used once per person per conversation. In addition, the character can see people hiding with obfuscate at level 1. The character can also see if the victim is a human, vampire, ghoul, or some other supernatural being. If the victim is something other than a human, ghoul or vampire, the character must have seen such an aura before to know exactly what kind of supernatural being it is, otherwise they will only know if the person is something "different".
Telepathy: The character's ability to see beyond the physical becomes so sharp that they can read the superficial thoughts of other people and distinguish truth from lies. Human minds are easy to read, but vampires require a greater effort. She can also to some extent see beyond the physical and identify illusions or mirages created with other disciplines.
Cost: Hunger +1
System: Mental Duel required. The character says "auspex: truth" after the statement he wants to review followed by his MV. If the character wins, the victim must say whether the statement was true or false. Each use of the power can review three statements from the same person, but the character can renew the effect if they wish. The power is free if used against humans or ghouls, but costs a hunger if the victim is a vampire.
The character can also, by spending a level of hunger, attempt to see through illusions created with Obfuscate. The power automatically penetrates effects created at a lower level of Obfuscate than the character's level of Auspex, or the same level if the person affected is moving. However, a stationary target remains hidden. Higher levels of Obfuscate are not affected by the power. The character can see through Obfuscate as long as they focus on it, but for a maximum of 15 minutes at a time or until they use another discipline or engage in combat.
Scry the soul: The character can more easily sense the currents and patterns in other people's auras much more effectively than before. Not only the emotions, but also their origin can be revealed, though with a greater effort than before.
Cost: Hunger +1
System: After using aura perception to read a person's strongest emotion, the character can say "auspex: why" and initiate a mental duel. If the character wins, the victim must give a brief explanation of the origin of the feeling, such as "I'm sad because my human sister has died" or "I'm frustrated because the sheriff is harassing me". The character can also see the traces in the aura that show that someone has diablerized another vampire, provided that no more than a year has passed.
Share the senses: The character can give part of their perspective to other people who lack the same abilities as themselves. The characters can briefly see simpler currents in other people's auras or attempts to hide, but not to the same degree as the character themself.
Cost: +1 hunger
System: The player can use the power on another person, plus one more for every five points in the MV. The people to be affected must be in physical contact with the player when the power is activated, but can move freely afterwards. For 15 minutes, the subjects have access to Aura Perception as if they had 1st level Auspex and can detect people in Obfuscate as if they were a level lower in Auspex than the player activating the power.
